Food Pantry Assistant
Full or Part Time -Temp position through Adams County Workforce with opportunity to hire after grant funds expire (6 months)
In order to qualify for this grant funded job opportunity you must have been laid off because of the pandemic, laid off through no fault of your own AND have been unemployed longer than 27 weeks OR self employed-unemployed because of the pandemic?

Job Description for Food Pantry Assistant: COVID GRANT
- Enter client information into Link 2 Feed database.
- Serve clients.
- Check Sign Up Genius daily to remain aware of appointments that have been scheduled.
- Accept food donations as they come in; weigh them and document poundage.
- Place orders on Food Bank of the Rockies agency portal.
- Unload food and provide directions to volunteers.
- Maintain cleanliness of food pantry by cleaning up spills and keeping the floor clear of debris.
- Regularly wipe down surfaces with anti-bacterial wipes, including refrigerators and freezers.
- Re-stock product on shelves regularly.
- Examine bread and refrigerated products regularly and discard all that has spoiled.
- Perform temperature checks and rodent/pest control checks weekly.
Pay is $13 an hour-then negotiable after grant funding runs out (6 months)
Must be able to pass a background check

Sports VISTA
Joyful Athletics SPORTS Marketing, Development and Implementation VISTA

1) Increase community awareness and enrollment numbers
Attend public community events to spread awareness of our programming and register participants
Communicate with local schools and child care centers to distribute flyers about current sports availability
Design and distribute flyers, emails and pamphlets as well as manage social media forums to reach our community, partners, and previous sports participants
Research various marketing opportunities such as local magazine ads, event calendars, and google ad grants to determine the most effective marketing approach within our budget

2) Increase and budget revenue
Identify and submit strategic grants to help increase funding
Cultivate donor relationships to increase giving
Develop and foster corporate relationships to secure in-kind donations and sports sponsorships
Help track and distribute scholarship funds as necessary
Manage program spending to meet grant requirements
Assist in team fundraising opportunities

3) Implementation and execution
Price and secure local fields and or gyms as needed
Assist in hiring coaches and ensuring all trainings are complete before sports programs begin
Assist in finding volunteer coaches for our rec programs and ensuring all trainings are complete before sports programs begin
Help design safety manuals for each of the sports we offer
Inspect and order equipment as needed
Ensure all waivers and release of liability forms are completed by parents or guardians of our participants
Track payments from participants when necessary
Act as our current communication liaison between parents and programs
